Biography              

Raised in the rural community of Berryton, KS, I was brought up to value family and work ethic above all else. When my grandfather transplanted his family from the family ranch in western Kansas, to command the National Guard base in Topeka, he brought the work ethic, pride, drive, and discipline that Kanas ranchers are known for. This was passed on to my father and to his children, and I believe that no matter what the task or one’s title, a person should never, under any circumstances, give others any reason to doubt whether he or she has earned anything less than every penny received from that day’s work. Holding true to this philosophy, I begin every challenge, large or small, with this end in mind, knowing that hard work, effort, and enthusiasm will always prevail.

At age 10 I began washing and detailing cars on my father’s car lot, picking up the “gear head” mentality early on. Around this time, I also entered the off-road racing community, where I remain an avid racer and supporter.

u        4Th  place finish in the international Capsim Business Simulation Challenge 2011, as part of BU 342 Organization and Management at Washburn University

u        Designed and implemented a Topeka Powersports Facebook page along with other marketing materials:

o        158 friends and counting.

o        New fan page launched in 2011 .

o        Design ads and flyers for special events, promotions, Wheels for You, Cycle Trader, Craigslist, etc.

u        Strong writing skills applied both in the classroom and in the business setting:

o        Design Topeka Powersports advertisements and promotional materials and proof read professional correspondence.

u        Co-designed Facebook page and fan page for the Gamma-Nu Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Wasburn University:

o        Nearly 500 likes and counting.

o        Fans from across the community and the country.

u        Oversee the public relations committee of the Gamma-Nu Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity:
